Cover Reveal: Gangster Moll & a Giveaway - Coming November 14th!

Hey, loves!

So Author Erin Ashley Tanner and I are sharing the cover for Gangster Moll today, and with a little help from Indie Sage and their wonderful bloggers, of course. We cannot wait to share Gangster Moll with you on November 14th, 2016!

Cover designed by the amazing Jay Aheer from Simply Defined Art. This woman makes our covers beautiful.

As a newly Made Capo in the Pivetti Crime Family, all eyes are on James “Mac” Maccari, and not for a particularly good reason. The way to his new position in the family was paved with blood, and that left some all too suspicious of where—or who—he might be going after next. Mac isn’t interested in playing to the politics of other Made men or Cosa Nostra. His only goal is to keep his promise and be waiting for his gun moll when she’s finally released from prison.

Until all hell breaks loose … again.

Fresh off her six month sentence, Melina Morgan is all too ready to get back to life, and Mac. The mafia life has been one learning curve after another, but with Mac at her side, there’s nothing that they can throw at her that she can’t handle. Even with a ring on her finger, and a new last name to go with it, Melina won’t be domesticated. But with a man like Mac, he wasn’t exactly looking for that kind of a woman, anyway.

Sometimes, wedding bells bring bloodstains …

When directed attacks start to happen, taking the lives of some of the highest Made men in the Pivetti family, distrust and unrest begins to breed throughout the ranks. Someone is making a move on the boss’s seat, and it seems far too easy to put the blame at Mac’s feet when every single attack is somehow connected to him. All over again, Mac and Melina find they’re fighting an uphill battle to keep each other safe and survive.

But this time, they might not be fighting alone …

What's coming next?
Hey, loves.

I've spent the last two and half weeks with my head firmly tucked into my work. I needed to get back into my own game and finish something because it had been a while, and I was feeling that fact. I don't like that, to feel as if I'm not getting work done or my usual schedule is somehow going to be messed up.

And we all like my every two month release schedule (sometimes every month) right? *winks*

So, this is just a little update on what will be coming next from me. We all know Gangster Moll, the second title in the Gun Moll Trilogy that I have written with Erin Ashley Tanner, will be releasing next month on the 14th, but what is coming after that from me?

Yesterday, I officially typed "the end" on Part One of the DeLuca Duet, and it gained a new title -- Waste of Worth. I have flipped back and forth on how to write this book, it's had 4 different titles, and there was a point, probably about 10k into it, that I was sure I was chasing a character (Dino, of course) down a goddamn rabbit hole.

He proved me wrong.

He proved me so wrong.

I cannot *wait* to share Dino's story.
Everyone thinks they know what happened.
No one really does ...

I will have a blurb (I'm working on that today) to share with you soon + covers. I already have one cover designed, minus the little details like the title on it and all, but because this turned into a Duet, I need to have the second one done before I can share as I will be using that cover for the Part Two.

I chose to write this as a Duet because of the time it encompasses, and not wanting it to feel rushed. When a long period of time passed by with sort of a fade to black jump, this is a better option. The Duet Part One & Two will release back to back, the first book in January and the second in February.

Add Waste of Worth to your GR TBR here --->

This 2 book Duet can be read as all my other series have been--standalone from other series, though Part One and Part Two have to be read in order.

Gangster Moll Teaser! #ComingSoon #MafiaRomance
Hey, loves!

So I promised a Gangster Moll teaser for yesterday, but I was so busy working on Dino's standalone story (almost done, yay) that I forgot.

But today is good, too, right?

This little snapshot is unedited (the book is still with the editor), so please excuse any typos from my fast fingers.

And some other news for Gangster Moll is that Erin and I got the cover from Jay yesterday and it is awesome. Cover reveal will be on the 28th of October--we can't wait to share. *grins*

Mac Maccari wasn’t a three-piece suit kind of man. He much preferred the comfort of dark-wash jeans, a T-shirt, and combat boots to wear while handling his daily business. It was a comfort thing, and a heat thing.

Glaring up at the bright sun in the sky as he crossed the street as quickly as he could, Mac swore he was melting under his suit. It was an unusually warm Summer for New York. It was almost always muggy during the season, but this year, Mother Nature decided to kick that shit up a notch.

Mac was less than impressed.

It probably didn’t help that the majority of his day was spent running to and from different locations as he handled his crew and what the men were doing at any given time.

But … it was what it was.

And he was damn good at his job.

Mac supposed that if he wasn’t good at being a Capo, he’d already be dead. At least, for the time being, he had that going for him.

The heat wave, however, could go to hell.

Tugging his jacket off, Mac slipped into the business at the very end of the block, tossing the coat over his arm as a cool blast of air from the air conditioner smacked him straight in the face. He soaked in the cold air as he glanced around the place, taking in the woman behind the counter, talking animatedly on the phone and snapping a large wad of gum in her mouth at the same time.

She didn’t even look like she noticed him standing there, for fuck’s sake.

Mac didn’t mind.

He wasn’t here to see her, anyway.

Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Mac searched for the message he’d been left earlier in the day. Infinite Insurance, ask for Ronnie, it read. A few other details had been included, but Mac figured those weren’t important until he found Ronnie.

Mac had come to find out, over his last few months as a newly appointed Capo for the Pivetti crime family that Luca Pivetti had little to no patience for people who owed him something. It didn’t matter what it was—money, action, or a word. If a person owed him, he expected them to pay accordingly.

Maybe even a little more simply because he was kind enough to do business with them.

As the boss, it was Luca’s due.

Mac didn’t question why his boss hadn’t simply sent an enforcer over to the place to handle his shit—that wasn’t his place. He just did what the boss wanted done.

Bypassing the receptionist without so much as a ‘hello’, Mac strolled to the back of the insurance bankers business, finding a hallway with several offices. All had glass windows for walls, letting him see the men and women inside, sitting behind desks with either a phone to their ear, or clients inside the offices.

Thankfully, plaques were attached to each door, names boldly inscribed on each one.

Mac found the Ronnie he was looking for mid-way down the hallway. The heavier-set gentleman was alone inside his office, from what Mac could see through the window, and didn’t seem to be tied up with a phone call as he was busy sorting papers.

That was going to suck when he had to clean up the mess later.

Mac couldn’t find much remorse for what he was about to do.

Business was business after all.

Cosa Nostra business was even tougher.

It simply couldn’t wait.

Mac didn’t bother to knock on the office door, but rather, turned the knob and walked right in, depositing his jacket on one of the two chairs meant for clients.

The insurance banker—Ronnie—glanced up, startled, at Mac’s sudden appearance. If Mac had to guess by the wrinkled dress shirt, the messy hair, and the tired gaze, Ronnie had some shit on his mind.

He was about to get more.

“You can’t just barge in here,” the man started to say. “Clients make appointments.”

Mac reached over and twisted the blinds closed on the window—no one could see in now. He locked the door, ensuring no one would walk in during the … meeting.

Turning back to face the man he’d been sent to see, Mac offered a wide-eyed Ronnie a smile. Cold as it was, Mac figured the guy would take this better if he was a little loosened up before the actual warning came about.

Ronnie started to stand from his desk, confusion writing heavily over his features. “Who in the hell are you?”

“I’m not important,” Mac said, rolling up the cuffs of his dress shirt.

Blood was a bitch to get out.

Maybe he’d avoid the few splatters that might occur, if it were possible.

But probably not.

“But Luca,” Mac continued, shrugging like it didn’t make a difference. “Now the boss and his money is a whole other story.”

For the first time since Mac entered Ronnie’s office, he saw the first trickle of genuine fear light up the man’s eyes.

“I-I have his—”

“They all say that,” Mac interrupted, knowing what the man was going to say.

Bullshit excuses.

Another stall tactic.

“Fact is,” Mac said, keeping an eye on Ronnie in case he grabbed for something to attack with, “… you’re two weeks late, according to the boss. And he was nice enough to fund your little project because apparently, you go way back. Now you’re ducking and dodging Luca like it’s what you do for a living.”

Mac chuckled, waving around at the office.

“Clearly, you work in another business, and you’re not very good at the ducking and dodging game,” Mac finished with another smooth, cold smile.

“Let me call Luca,” the man said quickly. “Please, we’re friends. He’ll understand, I’m sure.”

Mac sighed.

Luca didn’t care who a person was—friend, family, or enemy.

If someone owed him something, they owed him.

“Just let me make this easy,” Mac said. “You’ve only got to bleed, after all. Nobody says you’re going to fucking die from it. Now, if you make it hard on me, that’s going to be a problem, and it’ll probably hurt a lot more. Do us both a favor here, and let me get this over with.”

Ronnie opened his mouth to say something, his gaze darting to the windows, the door, and then to Mac.

Mac knew that look. It was the look of a man trying to find his way out.

Well, he had news for the guy.

“Make a single sound, and I will cut your tongue out,” Mac said quietly. “There is no where to run, and very few people left in the building. So unless you want your associates to know how you’ve been doing underground business with a mafia boss, I suggest you let me do what I came here to do.”

Simple, right?

Mac knew it would be—it always was.
News, News! Or some changes?
Hey, loves.

So over the next 3 months, I will be putting the majority of my titles vendor-wide again. So that means if you shop from iTunes, B & N, ect. then that's where the titles will be.

While being exclusive to Amazon for the most part has its benefits, it also has some not so great points--especially lately.

Titles that will be going wide include:

Entire Marcello Series.
Entire Chicago War Series.
Entire Donati Bloodlines Trilogy.

The majority of the titles will go wide toward November 21st on, while Thin Lies will be going wide at the end of October, and the remaining Donati Bloodlines titles will go wide in December.

The Seasons series, Gun Moll Trilogy, & The Russian Guns series will remain exclusive to Amazon.

I'm excited to get these books wide again, and I know quite a few readers who have been waiting (and sometimes asking) for when titles would be getting to other vendors. And now you have a sort of answer. ;)

As for new releases, and will they be put into Kindle Unlimited or vendor-wide, it will really depend on what they are--series or standalones. I will decide on a per-book basis. :D

If you have any questions, let me know. And of course, I will share links when these titles go live vendor-wide again.

Three winners, and it IS open worldwide.

Never want to leave someone out, after all. That doesn't seem fair to me.

This will be one of several giveaways I will be doing over the next couple of months to help clear out my goodies shelves so I can replace it with new stuff for next year!

Where the Wind Whispers is LIVE!
Hey, loves.

It's that day again.

Where the Wind Whispers is LIVE!

I'm so very excited to have the final piece to Kaz & Violet's puzzle out in the world. It's been a beautiful struggle to get to the end, and worth every word.

Sorry, loves, I don't have any teasers to share, and you've already seen the cover, right?

I think, given the way the second book ended, the GIF says it all.

Happy reading!

Teaser: WIP - Worthless & Wasted #DinoDeLuca
Hey, all!

I promised over on FB to share a teaser of Dino today, and so, here he is.

More to come soon.

“I’m here,” he told her again.

Karen frowned. “You already said that.”

“With you.”

“I’m aware, Dino.”

“Then maybe you should start figuring out what that really means, huh?”

Karen looked less than impressed by his statement. “Maybe if you talked a little more about things, I could—”

“I’m not a talker. I don’t talk.”

“No, you stew. You live in silence—in your head. You don’t let me in there, either. I don’t know what you want me to think, Dino.”

He propped his chin in his hand, contemplating her anger and how she verbalized it.

“I want you to think that I’m here, Karen.”

“You keep saying that!”

“Because it matters. It’s important,” he murmured.

Karen rolled her eyes.

“And,” Dino added quieter, “this is the only place where I am here.”

She softened … a bit.

It wasn’t quite enough for Dino, though.

“There’s no one else,” he said. “Hasn’t been for a long time.”

“How long?” Karen asked after a long stretch of silence.

“For something like this? A decade.”

“What about something not like this?”

Dino had to think about that one. “A while—long before you.”

Karen’s anger slowly began to dissipate, and eventually her tight, crossed arms relaxed to lay out at her sides. She still wasn’t looking at him, but it was something.

He would take it.

“I worry about you,” Karen said, her brow knitting together while her fingers traced the veins in his arm. “I sometimes think you could be happy if—”

“I’m happy.”

He’d interrupted her statement only because he knew his words were the truth. With Karen, he was happy. Or as happy as he was going to get. It was not something he took for granted, regardless of what Karen might think, because he knew how fleeting and easily taken happiness really was. There were monsters in his life that made it a game to make sure he was perpetually unhappy.

“Happier,” she corrected, “if you’d let me in a little more.”

“You don’t get it,” Dino said in a harsh exhale.

Karen looked up at him, sadness coloring her brown eyes. “I do.”

“You don’t, because if you did, you would know you’re already in. You’ve been let in for a while. It’s why I keep telling you I’m here. If you understood that, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now at all.”

“Is that all you’re going to say?”

“I’m not sure what else I should say,” Karen admitted. “Maybe I keep thinking this should be normal, or something. That if I ever want to get somewhere with you, I need to expect other things.”

“Things like making me talk or making me happier?”

Karen tipped her head to the side. “It sounds stupid when you say it.”

“I bet.”

“You know, it’s not lost on me that being here is what makes you happy, Dino.”

“Good,” he said, finding that smile he rarely wore but always gave to her if he could. “That’s the only thing that matters.”
Order Signed Paperbacks!
Hey, loves.

Something cool for you today.

You can order signed paperbacks again!

I had a few message me wondering where the "Store" had gone from my website. Frankly, I didn't like the set up where I had to include the cost of shipping right in the price of the items. And so I removed it until I decide to go ahead and upgrade the whole thing.

I still, however, LOVE Wufoo.

So I've done up another Wufoo for those still asking about signed books. I like that I can separate the cost of shipping depending on number of books/country the order is coming from. Also, I can take the form down or remove options quicker/easier when stock is gone.

This form will stay up for about a month, then it will be removed. Orders will be processed as they come in + sent out within 2 weeks.

I can't wait to share the final journey in this tale for this couple.

Hugs, loves.
